so i actually sat down and watched the episode live today instead of just watching it on the DVR later
now i feel like i need to throw up

i think what i’m angriest about isn’t that the episode started off with so much potential and just nosedived, or that realism was just thrown right overboard when finn sent an application and got to do a private audition for a well-renowned school around the time that most kids would be getting acceptance letters BACK, or kurt being turned once again into a punching bag for a show that doesn’t know how to write motivating storylines without grinding its strongest characters into the dust. it’s not even that rachel berry got into nyada when kurt didn’t. it’s that despite the fact that KURT is the one who has been lauded as an inspiration, who just had his dreams CRUSHED, didn’t even get a fucking SECOND of screentime after the fact. it’s that RIB and FOX and whoever the fuck is in charge of this horrible mess of a show dedicated the last ten minutes to another soul-wrenching rachel berry number instead of giving us one teensy, tiny minute of closure. but that would be giving the fans and the characters they’ve created some respect, and that would be unthinkable.
